Have you ever had the scary experience of waking up in the morning and seeing one of the biggest pimples you have ever seen on your face staring back at you? That is not the way to start the day. You do everything possible to avoid this but nothing seems to keep the pimples away.
There are certain things that cause pimples. Here are few:
- Poor diet
- The stress of life
- Hormonal changes
- Pores that are clogged by dirt and / or pollution
It is easier to stop pimples before pimples start than it is to get rid of pimples once they appear. You should wash your face several times a day. Don’t wash more than 3 times per day. The exception to this is if you live in a high humidity or polluted city then you should wash more frequently of possible. Create a heavy lather in your hands first and then apply to your wet face then rinse. Pat your face dry. Scrubbing your face at any point in the process can damage your skin.
You should clean, tone and moisturize you face twice per day in most cases. The moisturizing step is very important. Make sure to use an oil-free moisturizer.
Avoid exposure to the elements as much as possible. High winds on your face can have a damaging effect.
Many people do not realize the importance of water. Drinking plenty of water is a great way to detoxify your body. Having poor circulation or blood impurities are two of the main causes of pimples.
When you get a bad case of the pimples don’t panic. The first thing to do is not pop it. Now for most people with pimples that is the first urge. You have to resist that urge since this is the worst thing to do to cure pimples. A better approach is to wrap an ice cube in a thin cloth and place it on all of the pimples for three minutes each. This will kill the growth of the pimple. If one of the pimples accidentally or intentionally bursts wash the area with soap. Then grab a slice of lemon and squeeze 10 drops of lemon juice onto a cotton ball. Hold the lemon cotton ball on the pimple for about 10 minutes. This will keep it from scarring.
Lemon juice will also help you maintain the ph balance of your skin. You should rinse your face daily with lemon water. Squeeze half of a lemon into a cup of water. You should plash on your face and then rinse with clean water to help maintain the ph balance in your skin.
