1. Grind fresh fenugreek leaves into a paste and apply it over your face every night for 15 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water. This is a secret formula for clear skin.

2. Go to the supermarket and get hold of some strawberry leaves. Strawberry leaves are good alkaline. Apply them on the acne spots to suppress swelling.

3. Lemons are great as acne home remedies. There are a few uses for it. You can either use the lemon skin to massage your face or mix the juice with rose water before application on your face. Do this for 30 minutes daily and you should be able to see a marked improvement in your skin complexion.

4. Garlic is one of the best acne home remedies in the world. If you can overcome the odour, apply ground or pounded garlic on your face 2 times daily. It would work wonders on your acne.

Quick ideas to eliminate the redness from pimples.

I have no pimples in the spots but from the pimples its red, what home remedies could I use to get rid of the redness?

Try crushing up an aspirin. Don’t use the one that has a “candy coating” though, because it wont work. The Ibuprofen helps to heal and relieve the redness and soreness of most pimples.

Just use one or two tablets, and crush in a dish until they are a fine powder. Add a little splash of water so it becomes more of a paste, and spread on your pimple(s). Leave it for a while (I usually do it before I go to bed…but a good hour should do it).

It might not work right away and you may have to do it a couple of times, because it depends on the sensitivity of your skin and the severity of the acne.

If it’s just surface redness that you have, this might work… But that’s usually a sign that there is acne under the skin and it has not surfaced yet. For this you need an astringent (something with a little alcohol in it that will clean deep in your pores), which you would have purchase at your local pharmacy.

ive searched many different things on home remedies for acne. ive also asked on yahoo answers but that didnt work….. so far ive found nothing that i can use without leaving my house this moment. so the state of my skin is kinda dry. i have pimples EVERYWHERE no specific places. forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose. i have blackheads on my nose too. my pimples arent all white heads some are just bumps. not red or inflamed but they have puss, what r they? ok so i am looking for home remedies that dont have honey or lemons bc i dont have any. DO NOT SAY TOOTH PASTE my pimples are just one here or there its like 6 new ones every day. if i pop them (which i have a tendency to do) i get scars and stuff. so home remedies to clear up acne (hopefully in a week if possible i start school in 9 days and counting) uhm also if u guys have any suggestions on how i can stop myself from popping my pimples

try taking a multiple vitamin/mineral with zinc in it…you might be low on zinc.

OMG: Do not try that "urine therapy." Anyone who does, is either desperate or nuts.

Try washing your face with some good ole soap & water. I use Dove bath soap & my face is not only soft, but it’s acne free. Using circular motions, wash your face for two minutes. That is enough time to open your pores & clean them out. Make sure you use a "wash cloth" & not just your hands. The wash cloth will remove dirt & oils that clog the pores. If the pores aren’t cleaned out well, they close with the dirt & oil trapped inside. That’s why you end up with acne.

After you rinse your face well with warm water, splash some cold water on your face to close the pores. Drinking a lot of water daily, will flush out the impurities in your body, & before long, you’ll notice a difference in your face, your skin, your nails, & your hair. Your body needs water!!!

Keep your hair clean as oily bangs resting on the forehead, can cause acne.

When I was in high school, I washed my faced twice daily & three times daily on weekends, with Noxzema. I used it just like I did a bar of soap. When I was through patting my face dry with a towel, I applied a little of the Noxzema to my acne. If you decide to try it, & you wear a creamy/liquid makeup base, make sure you wash your face thoroughly at the end of the day. NEVER…go to bed with makeup on or you will have more acne than you would care to have.

When the ingredients have cooled mix with the following: 2/3 cup of rosewater, 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel, 1 – 2 drops of rose oil and then the contents contained in 1 capsule of Vitamin E. Add there ingredients with the first mixture and whip until it has the consistency of butter cream frosting.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar – The ingredients in Apple Cider Vinegar make it an excellent bacteria fighting agent. It is popular weight reduction and is very effective in the reducing cellulites. Mix 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar with 8 ounces of water and a teaspoon of honey. You can also massage Apple Cider Vinegar into your skin.
